This is a luxurious goshuincho (seal book) with a golden cover and inner pages. The inner pages use Kinsenshi paper, which absorbs ink easily.
What is Kinsenshi paper? It is made by laminating a thin sheet of paper (rayon paper) onto gold-colored paper. Because the thin paper absorbs art materials, you can write letters and draw pictures with sumi ink, Japanese watercolors, or water-based pens.
