This is an authentic fountain brush pen with a weasel hair tip.
The barrel is made of pear wood, the same material as the "wood block" which is vital for ink makers.
The balls of ink, kneaded with soot, glue, and fragrance, contain a lot of moisture. Therefore, hard and easy-to-carve pear wood, which does not warp even after absorbing a certain amount of moisture, has been traditionally chosen as the material for wood blocks.

Comes in a paulownia wood box, perfect for gifting.
