Calligraphy inks are traditionally made from soot and animal glue. Kuretake offers many calligraphy inks, such as the "Shogei Kuretake" series, which use animal glue as an ingredient. However, "Gentoku" achieves its elegant, powerful, and glossy black by using resin instead of animal glue.
The resin used is of a type that is less likely to damage brushes.
Furthermore, "Gentoku" is formulated to minimize the increase in ink viscosity that occurs over time, resulting in excellent product stability.
With a moderate density and a lustrous ink quality, it can be used for medium-density works.
A total of 4 types: "Normal Density," "Medium Concentrated Ink," "Concentrated Ink," and "Ultra Concentrated Ink." Each type offers the appropriate spread and smooth brushwork for its density, ensuring an enjoyable writing experience.
