Calligraphy ink is made from soot and glue. Kuretake offers many calligraphy inks that use glue as an ingredient, such as the "Shogei Kuretake" series. However, "Gentoku" uses resin instead of glue to achieve an elegant, powerful, and lustrous black color.
The resin used is a type that minimizes damage to brushes.
Additionally, "Gentoku" is formulated to minimize the increase in ink viscosity that occurs with age, ensuring excellent product stability.
With a moderate concentration and lustrous liquid quality, it can be used for medium-density works.
A total of 4 types: "Normal Density," "Medium Density," "Dark Density," and "Extra Dark Density." Each concentration offers appropriate spread and excellent brushwork, making it easy to write.
Normal Density
Even with its smooth liquid quality, it has an appropriate density and can be used undiluted.
Medium Density
With a moderate concentration and lustrous liquid quality, it can be used for medium-density works.
