This colored ink stick, created with Kuretake's unique manufacturing method, brings out the vivid and beautiful colors and the exquisite brushwork characteristic of Japanese painting.
By varying the amount of color absorbed and the brushstrokes, you can achieve various expressions such as light and dark shades, bleeding, blurring, and color mixing.
It can be widely used for Nihonga (Japanese-style painting), sumi-e (ink painting), watercolors, and sumi-sai-ga (ink wash painting with color).
Comes in a paulownia wood box for convenient storage.
