It is available at art supply stores nationwide.

What is "Kuretake Gansai Tambi"?
"Kuretake Gansai Tambi" are solid paints (Gansai) that are dissolved in water for use. Developed based on feedback from enthusiasts, they feature a wide range of beautiful colors inspired by the traditional Japanese landscape.
Typically, these paints are used without mixing to enjoy their vibrant colors. With the rich expressive power unique to Gansai, they are used not only for traditional Japanese painting and e-tegami (picture letters) but also widely for sketches and illustrations. They are popular not only in Japan but also overseas.
Reasons why Gansai Tambi is chosen
- ① Design

- The set box is a traditional Japanese-style paper-wrapped box with a calm design, popular even overseas. Beyond aesthetics, the containers and box are designed for ease of use.

- ② Extensive color lineup

- In addition to standard colors, we offer gold-based Gansai, pearl-tone Gansai, and metallic Gansai. They are perfect not only for e-tegami, illustrations, and watercolor sketches but also for lettering and card making.
- ③ Easy to use

- Simply opening the lid is all it takes to get ready to paint. When water is added to the Gansai, the paint itself becomes a palette, eliminating the need to squeeze out each color individually like with tube paints.
- Cleanup is also easy—just close the lid, allowing you to enjoy coloring effortlessly.
- ④ Meets international safety standards
- These Gansai paints are safe to use during and after painting, as they are compliant with international safety standards for health and environmental considerations. They have obtained the "AP Mark" certification from the Art & Creative Materials Institute (ACMI).
Features of "Kuretake Gansai Tambi / 48-color set"

We have enhanced the color lineup to include lighter and intermediate shades that are easy to use for sketching and illustration, making them more versatile for various scenarios.
The bottom of the box contains a color name display sheet, so there's no need to worry about the Gansai paints getting mixed up when individual pans are removed for use. Additionally, it comes with an A5-sized color chart for you to fill in yourself, allowing you to check the actual colors as you use them.
